Creating a Class Blog

Your class blog will be one of the main depository for homework. With this in mind, it is extremely important that you DO NOT DELETE this information. (Don't worry, there is far less chance of "losing" your blog than losing a notebook.)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. First you must have a Google account. If you use Gmail, you already have an Google account, so use that. If not, you'll need to create a Google account. (It's free and easy.)

2. Log into Blogger.

2. You are going to create a blog for your history class. At the top right of your dashboard, just under the language selection, click on "Create a Blog." (See image.)

3. The name of your blog will be your first and last name followed by U.S. History.   (Example: Jeff Hyer's U.S. History)

4. The url of your blog is up to you. Name it something you can remember. I suggest the following:   or

5. The blog template is up to you. Just make sure it is easy to read.

6. Once you've created your blog, make note of your new History blog's URL.  You will submit it later on your long-range planning form.

7. To post your first homework entry, follow these instructionsYou MUST use LABELS as this is essential to organize your homeowrk when you have a number of entries. (TRUST ME on this.)
